Within the work package Effect and risk assessment, UNIMIB is taking charge and the goal is to have a good insight on the following questions:

Is there an Ecotox Impact from PFAS on certain microorganisms and on which one of the selected ones?

• For which concentrations are these impacts “detectable”?

• Is the composition of a mixture of influence on the Ecotox behaviour?

Ecotox tests are to be seen as a complement for the analytical tests. In this project microorganisms will be selected and evaluated prior to upcoming European legislation, whereas Ecotox tests will most likely be used to evaluate the impact of certain (waste) waters discharged in surface waters.
